Mayor Gimenez Proposes Merger of Department of Emergency Management and Fire Department

In a recent discussion with constituents, Mayor Gimenez announced his plans to merge the Department of Emergency Management and the County Fire Department:


"Do you support merging the county’s Emergency Management Office and the county fire department?"



“Yes, I do. They perform like functions. I don’t know why they were ever separated,” he said.
